I’m under attack!  Dastardly pop ups have invaded my computer!  At first they were benign but now they are disgustingly pornographic.  I run adaware and spybot regularly but I think that my ds or dd have clicked onto things they ought not to click onto.
Advice, please???
Other than that, life is pretty darned good.  No complaints worth talking about.  Everyone is healthy and there is food in our bellies and a roof over our heads.  What more do we need?  God is good.
blessings, gail

  1. I wish I did have advice.  That’s hectic – majorly!  advice?  Pray.  Then trust the Lord to order your steps.  Some of that stuff may have infected your whole system, and you may have to enlist the help of an expert to get your system up and running smoothly again.
And for help with that icky stuff coming up on the screen, I would suggest you put on a filter of some sort.  Here is a list of programs that filter out specific kinds of undesirable and unsavory content:
    Hope that helps.
    God is good!

  2. oh-oh….that happened to my friend’s computer because his brother was going to "no-no" sites. and the sad news, is that, their whole computer crashed.
Now, let’s hope that doesn’t happen to yours, so quick, get it fixed or we’ll miss you too much.
By the way, my doctor just get me lts of suppositories…laxatives…and cream. I’m told to change my diet. If it all doesn’t work (as it is still pain today…) I’ll have to go in again, for some procedure, which I don’t want to go through!!!!
ok A. Gail, take good care and YES the Lord is GOOD! Amen!
Blessings!! and kisses from Bb Jo and Nel.

  3. Hello Gail,
I amrunning McAfee Security Center on my computer. I don’t get pop-ups unless I give permission for them and then I only do it for certain sites. I can go in and delete sites that I don’t want. Blocking unwanted sites is also possible – particularly porn sites. Start out with going to your cookies and temporary internet files and deleting ALL of them. It does make a difference.
Thank you for mentioning testicular cancer. I had decided that since I was on the subject of breast cancer, I would stay there. For men, Prostate cancer is another one to be aware of.
Yesterday was just a typical day for me. Except having that one person come on my site and lie to me. I really hate saying that about a person but the truth is the truth. Just one site to avoid.
I sleep rather well even with all that runs through my mind. I appreciate your concern about me. I was trying to keep things light and ended up with a deep subject. Somethings are meant to be. I guess if Hearts hadn’t been discussing breast pumping then I wouldn’t have gotten onto the subject of breast cancer. Be that as it may, it happened.
    Peace & Blessings.

  4. I’m sorry about that, and maybe they didnt, cause i got the same pop ups and let me tell you I never visit those sites, cause I hate them but when i got the pop ups, I blocked them, from the internet options, love ya blessingsby the way, details are available

Sorry. I’m a computer dope. Pop-ups are bad enough; when they’re R-rated (or worse) it’s just plain icky.
    Good luck.

  6. As a matter of fact…lol…Yes.  I am hyper!  In fact, I was voted most energetic of my senior class in high school.  And would you believe I’ve mellowed out some over the years???
But I love studying the Word – which is a total contradiction to textbook hyperactivity as well as to my own personal hyperactivity.  I’m so thankful for this grace!
    Love ya!
    Carol 🙂

  7. Oh- ick! I run Norton for pop-ups, set my internet filters on high & run spyware daily- so far, no problems. Of course, kids aren’t allowed on the computer, which is in the livingroom, unless we’re home, & hubby is afraid of it, so that avoids a lot of problems ;p

  8. Hey Aunt G,
just oppping by to say have a good night!
Yeah, I too believe that the world ain’t gonna get better…not till the Lord returns….
Well, I pray for all our safety, for you, for Bells,
    Take care!!

  9. computer is cleaned up, but this happens all the time in my job.  Here is what works most of the time for me.  Run Ad-Aware, being sure to check for updates.  Run Spybot, being sure to check for updates.  Quarantine anything it finds.  Then reboot your machine.  While it is restarting hit the F8 key repeatedly until you get a menu.  Select the Safe Mode option and once that gets up and running run both Ad-Aware and Spybot again.
I hope things are going better with your pain – you are in my prayers.  -cindy
