A dear friend has lovingly chastised me about recycling the last entry. I did it in response to some things that occurred over the weekend. Sometimes I guess I write an allegory thinking that I am not being negative but being creative. My friend saw right through me and I would like to give equal time to "happy thoughts" about Himself.
Himself is a hard working man. He spends many hours working three jobs to provide for his family. (Two part-time jobs, one of which starts at 4:30 AM four days a week and another that he works most Saturdays.) His full-time job is mostly computer work he can do at home so he is available to help me watch Isabella when I need him to.
If a man could get an award for loving his family, Himself would earn it. He has always been willing to drive many miles when one of the kids needed to go somewhere and to provide beyond our means to help them out. He has attended nearly every sporting event our son was involved in and has even coached a bit.
No parents have ever had a better son. Himself’s parents are 91 and 81 and, when needed and able to, he takes them into the big city for medical check ups or procedures. He has taught respect for elders by his own actions.
No matter how much I kvetch, he loves me. Unconditionally. Sometimes I just can’t figure that part out.
In closing, although we live in the land of Peaceatanycost, not one of us has to doubt that we are loved.
