Temporary Insanity

Am dealing with a bit of, hopefully, temporary insanity here. My own. Be back soon. g

Oh, I forgot to tell you!   Lord willing and the crick don’t rise, Laurie a.k.a. LollieMouse is coming for a visit this weekend!  I am beyond excited.  One thing we will do for sure is go to "The Cafe" for Sunday brunch after church.   She is a gifted singer and I am looking forward to praising the Lord with her in song.

For those of you who don’t know Lolls, she stopped blogging because of computer problems.  We met last September when Himself and I were in her neck of the woods and we clicked immediately.  She is a glowing example of what is good about blogging.  As a rule, I don’t recommend meeting someone from the blogosphere alone because you just don’t know who is really behind these words.  Blessedly, Lolls and I are both the same in person as we are in writing.  We met in public place and all was well.

For those of you who pray please remember Lolls in your prayers as she is doing all the driving on this trip.  It ought to be an easy ride but, still, a few extra angels never hurt anyone!  Thanks, g

  1. Hi G, I will certainly keep Lolls in my prayers for a safe drive to and fro.  Has your insanity disappeared yet:)?  I will also keep you in my prayers:)
I am usually online late at night.  I get distracted from my work when I come online during the day, or you could also catch me on the weekends.  I will look out for you.

  2. that will be so fun! last time you said you’d post pictures of you and her together but didn’t. So perhaps a few this time huh? haha..

  4. I saw Oprah’s show.  I was happy and frustrated at the same time because they chose to focus only on the most severe cases of Autism.  Unfortunately it is such a SPECTRUM disorder.  I am formulating my email to the Oprah show.  I feel like a follow up show would be appropriate.

    Good stuff though!

  5. Hi Gail, glad you came by..yes, from the looks of your 101, we do have a lot in common! Hope your insanity is easily managed, and you’ll be back quickly..I look forward to reading more.
    hugs,
    Jean

  6. well that sounds like a lot of fun…

  9. Hey Miss G!  Thanks for dropping by today and introducing yourself.  I love it when new people stop by 😉

I often fantasize about meeting some of my favorite bloggers one on one.  Lams and I talked about this last year.  We are both Prince fans and hopefully I will get a chance to travel to Minnesota for a visit.  I still might make the attempt one day.  I’m glad your meeting worked out so well.  I will remember Lolls in my prayers.

Have a good rest of the week and stop by neighborhood anytime!  ;=)

    *blessings*

  10. Well here’s hoping that the crick don’t rise and that you have a wonderful visit with your buddy!!!  How wonderful that you got to actually meet someone from blogland – and they were all that you expected!

Best of luck with the insanity thing – hopefully it is only temporary!!  (Just kidding – but I really do wish you the best!)

    Take care,
    B

  11. Hi Gail,
Thought I would check in on you and see how you’re doing. Glad you’re getting to visit with friends.

    Love the pictures.

    May God bless you.

  12. Glad you get to spend quality time with someone you clicked with. I hate it when one person clicks and the other does not. (lol).

I would feel like I wasn’t living up to someone’s expectations. I did have a chance to talk to a fellow blogger on the phone. Twice. She caught me at a bad time each time. I feel like I was rude to her. I hope she didn’t.

Only temporary, huh…how do you do that?

    xoxo

  13. I thought one had to be partually crazy to even get into Blogland.  That’s the way folks look I me when I make the mistake of mentioning Blogland.  They edge a little further off and hurry away when they get the chance.
Enjoy your time with The Mouse

  14. That is awesome! I’ve met a lot of online friends over the years, and never really had any bad experiences. We didn’t always "click" and sometimes never saw each other again, but it was always cool. Since I’ve started blogging, I met Ronna and her best friend Tammy and that was just awesome. There are several people who I feel like I’ve known for years because we’ve been blogging together for so long. I hope to meet some of them one of these days! (that includes you!) 🙂

  15. That was pretty good advice about tattoos coming from one in the middle of temporary discombobulation.  I afraid I’ve got just enough of a mean streak that I will not be able to keep from saying "I told you so" at some future time (like when the lower abdomen tattoo gets hit with middle age).
Thanks for the mascari/eyeliner correction.  I guess it obvious I don’t wear much of either one.

  16. How fun is that to meet and really like someone from the blogging world.  There are so many people I’d love to really meet (like you for example), but you’re right, it is a scary, scary thing!  I hope you are having a great time with your new friend.  Keep us posted.

  17.
I think it’s great you get to see Laurie again! It was nice to see her stop by my space for a visit!

I don’t know what’s causing your insanity, but you know I am always here if you need to talk.

    Hugs,
    Liz

  18.
And in response to your comment to me…

Yes, it was fortunate that I had that money set aside back in October because I left at the drop of a hat.

Part of me feels guilty if I would go because there are other more important things it should be spent on, like bills. The other part will feel guilty if I don’t go because she and I rely upon each other for support and I know she really needs me right now. I guess guilt is part of the equation both ways, unless I can somehow finance this trip myself.

I really don’t know what to do and it is stressing me more than you know. The easy thing to do is just stay home, but I am not convinced that is the right thing to do.

If we had the money my husband would be all for me going, but with our current situation, I fear it’s stressing him more than he already is. Not good to say the least.

So that is the scoop. Aren’t ya glad you asked? LOL

  19. I do believe my insanity is more than temporary!  But, maybe my insanity is…normal??   My normal?  I saw this antenna topper at Target the other day, it said "Crazy doesn’t begin to explain it" and Alan just said "Ain’t that the truth!"  hmmmmm…..

  20. Cool!!! I wondered about Lollie.
Yes, I agree there are some wonderful people in Bloggerville.
We really have spent some wonderful times sharing.
Please, when you have time we will come and check about your weekend.
    Greg

  21. Gail ~ come to my space and get the link and go give Greg’s space a vote!

I’m glad you are not ashamed of your blog friends and care to share with the world this fact. It’s nice when you feel you are a valued friend and not to be ashamed of knowing nor deny them.

    Take care, Gail ~
