Dear Gail,Semper Fi, Do or Die! You’re right, once….always!I know the angst you feel with having a boy-man around the house…my son is 14 and we are not looking forward to the liscense bit. Eventually he will have to drive himself to school (a 1 hour ride one way) when he is 16 on a 70mph highway. It was horrendous this morning getting him to the bus (he didn’t have his gear packed and almost missed the bus!). Usually it is not a problem (he is up at 6:15 every morning) but for some reason this morning he just didn’t have his act together. Must be spring fever! I declare, they have one foot in boyhood and the big toe of the other in manhood and it makes for an interesting amusement park ride.I hope everything dries out right quick for you, having no basement, we are sump-pumpless so we don’t get water, but many of the old homes here do and because we have such a high water table, just the runoff from heavy rain is too much for the drainage system (there is a house one street over that has ankle foot water puddling outside their home all the time!)Thank you for very sweet comments, it sounds as though you have a Marine tradition somewhere…do tell!Wishing you a fantastic week, always love to see your smiling face,Sheilap.s. loved the video…I knew Jocko would be in there somewhere!

I didn’t mean for it to sound in a negative manner. We all need humour even in the most trying times. There is nothing for you to apologize about. It was not disrespectful or at least I didn’t consider it so. Everyone has their own way to react to situations. My apologies for making it sound like something it wasn’t. Humour makes the pain more bearable.

trust you had a good weekend g …more sunshiine here ,we took fergus to the seaside & he loved running wild on the beach .Fergus gained a new word after grandad said ‘idiot ‘ to a driver who nearly ran at us ..he must have repeated it 30 times & I couldn’t keep a straight face while trying to distract him with other words …lol.. fogot to tell J& Z..so they will be wondering where he learned it !
He also shouts "Jeffrey" after he heard me call for his grandad…we really have to be careful what we say as Fergus says the words so clearly .what a joy it is being a grandma 🙂

You know, I liked how people looked before their work was done. I think they looked better… with the exception of Ashley Simpson. I am AMAZED at how beautiful she looks now after her little nose job.
