It is so hard to believe it is Thursday again! Weeks go by so swiftly and the older I get the faster they go by. Hardly seems fair, eh?
On Thursdays, I usually go to Amy’s site to steal her Thursday Thirteen ideas. However, this week she listed the rules concerning the American flag and I would encourage my fellow Americans, and even my non-American friends, to visit her site.
Now to come up with my own list, hmmmm…..not feeling very creative…okay….here goes –
Thirteen Ways to Cope with Problematic (and not so problematic) Children:
1 – prayer, lots of it
2 – chocolate, dark, lots of it
3 – ice cream with chocolate sauce or syrup
4 – talk it over with a bff (best friend forever)
5 – chocolate, dark
6 – more prayer
7 – exercise – walk to the chocolate store
8 – read a good book e.g., the Bible, Chocolate by Nick Malgieri…
9 – listen to and sing along with spiritual songs such as Amazing Grace and The Candy Man Can
10 – yet more prayer
11 – be consistent in disciplining them
12 – beat husband into submission when he thwarts your attempts to be consistent
13 – write a book on the healing properties of chocolate, dark.
I hope that my wisdom helps those of you who are struggling with your wayward children. All are tried and true methods which I have learned through trial and error. May my advice help to keep you from the trials I have suffered through.
Be well, gail
